Performers sought for Timber Lake Playhouse productions

Auditions for upcoming Timber Lake Playhouse productions of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Born Yesterday,” “The Fully Monty” and “Fiddler on the Roof” will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 17 at West Carroll Middle School, 633 S. East St., Mount Carroll.
Auditions for upcoming Timber Lake Playhouse productions of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Born Yesterday,” “The Fully Monty” and “Fiddler on the Roof” will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 17 at West Carroll Middle School, 633 S. East St., Mount Carroll.

MOUNT CARROLL – Auditions for upcoming Timber Lake Playhouse productions of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Born Yesterday,” “The Fully Monty” and “Fiddler on the Roof” will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 17 at West Carroll Middle School, 633 S. East St.

Artistic director Paul Stancato will cast several youth and adult actors for the following roles:

• One child for the role of Chip in “Beauty and the Beast.”

• One boy, age 10 to 12, for the role of Nathan in “The Full Monty.”

• Up to eight children for the ensemble in “Beauty and the Beast” and “Fiddler on the Roof.”

• Two girls, age 8 to 12, for the roles of Shprintze and Bielke in “Fiddler on the Roof.”

• Four adult actors for small roles in “Born Yesterday.”

• Four teens for the dance ensemble in “Beauty and the Beast” and “Fiddler on the Roof.”

• Up to 12 adults for the ensembles of “Beauty and the Beast” and “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Performers must prepare a song to sing – no more than 32 bars – with an accompanist. Songs from the show or in the style of the show are encouraged. Bring sheet music for the accompanist, as no one will be allowed to sing without accompaniment. You may be asked to read from a script or attend a dance call as part of your audition.

Those interested can email info@timberlakeplayhouse.org with the subject line “Local Auditions,” or call the administrative office at 815-244-2048 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for an appointment. Include the full name of the person auditioning (including parent or guardian names if younger than 18), a time frame they are available on Feb. 17, and for which local productions and roles they will be auditioning. You will receive a reply with an appointment time.

Timber Lake Playhouse also is seeking strong, non-union actors for the roles of Horse and Jeanette in “The Full Monty,” and Golde, Lazar and Yente in “Fiddler on the Roof.” Special appointment auditions for these roles can be arranged in Chicago or Mount Carroll. Email a headshot and resume with the subject “Single Show Contract” to casting@timberlakeplayhouse.org.
