Oh, the things you can see in Dixon

DIXON – Dixon Public Schools and Woodlawn Arts Academy will present “Seussical Jr.” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the auditorium at Dixon High School, 300 Lincoln Statue Drive.

Admission is $6, cash or check, at Reagan Middle School, 620 Division St., or the academy, 3807 Woodlawn Road.

It’s Blues and Bluegrass time

FRANKLIN GROVE – If it’s the third Friday of the month, it’s Blues and Bluegrass night at the H.I. Lincoln Building, 136 N. Elm St.

Open-stage acoustic gospel, folk, country, blues and bluegrass will be performed, beginning at 7 p.m.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted to help with the upkeep of the historic building.

• Brushville will play from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday at Henry’s Double K, 834 S. Jackson St. in Mount Carroll. Admission is $5.

• Lyle Grobe and the Rhythm Ramblers will play from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Sterling Moose Family Center, 2601 E. Lincolnway, Sterling.

• Orchard Fire will play from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday at Whiskey Barrel Saloon, 305 W. Second St., Rock Falls, and Cowboy Jukebox will play from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday at the bar.
