FRANKLIN GROVE – Christmas in the Grove returns from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday downtown, with horse-drawn wagon rides, a cookie walk, door prizes, music, raffles, refreshments, and a visit from St. Nicholas.
The Petunia City Quilters will display their raffle quilt at the American Legion Building, 139 N. Elm St., where the Methodist Women also will be selling soup.
The Winifred Knox Public Library, 112 S. Elm St., will have a book sale, raffle drawings, and free popcorn, and Laura Keyes will perform “Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas Memories” at 5:30 p.m.

Holiday activities and shopping opportunities will abound from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday in downtown Ashton.
There will be a Holiday House Walk, horse-drawn wagon rides, a book fair, Christmas tree decorating, and Santa will stop by for a visit.
The Lion's Club will serve a chili supper and St. John's Preschool will have a cookie walk.
