Donald N. Wilkin II, J.D.

ROCK FALLS – Donald N. Wilkin II, J.D., 65, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

He was born Oct. 31, 1952, in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, to Dr. Donald and Eleanor (Catrambone) Wilkin. Don graduated from Newman Central Catholic High School in 1970, Sauk Valley Community College, the University of Arizona, and San Diego State Law School.

Survivors include his mother, Eleanor, of Rock Falls; his siblings, Lenora Wilkin of Rock Falls, Stephen (Kristi) Wilkin of Wyoming, Michigan, Marcia Wilkin of Rock Falls, Richard Wilkin of Ohio, David (Sandra) Wilkin of Sycamore, and Paul (Ingrid) Wilkin of Bolingbrook; two nieces, Chanda and Richele; three nephews, Erik, Nathan, and Donald J. Wilkin; three great-nieces, Paesyn, Harley, and Payton; and a great-nephew, Isaac.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Don was an avid sports fan, especially for the Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks, and all Chicago teams, and University of Arizona sports, as well as many other sports teams.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, and the memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Falls.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
