ROCK FALLS – Alfred Pace, 82, of Rock Falls, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at his home. He was a forklift operator with Goodyear in Rock Falls for 37 years.
He was born May 19, 1935, in Canton, to Clarence and Lillian (Duncan) Pace. He married Vivian Shuman on April 4, 1958, in Rock Falls. She preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 2000.
Survivors include his daughters, Laurie (Clifford) Goulder of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, and Linda (Bill) Peppers of Rock Falls; a son, Ken (Sue) Pace of Franklin Grove; a sister, Emma (Leon) Gwaltney of Roscoe; a brother, Phil (Annette) Pace of Sterling; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a grandson.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be from
10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, and the memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home, 505 First Ave., Sterling, with Pastor Jason Borton, officiating.
A memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon.
