Fall fun Saturday at John Deere Historic Site

The second Fall Festival will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the John Deere Historic Site, 8334 S. Clinton St. Participants can tour the grounds, including the home, which was built in 1836 and has six rooms.

GRAND DETOUR – The second annual Fall Festival will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the John Deere Historic Site, 8334 S. Clinton St.

Guests can decorate pumpkins, bob for apples, play old-fashioned games, and tour the grounds and exhibits.

Covered wagon rides will be offered until 2 p.m., and people can interact with alpacas.

Staff will be dressed in pioneer-era costumes, and an area will be set aside where people can take pictures.
