Mail order bride topic of meeting

PRINCETON – How her grandmother came to America as a mail-order bride in the early 1900s will be the topic presented by a Spring Valley woman at the Bureau County Genealogical Society meeting, at 7 p.m. Thursday at 629 S. Main St. Mary Jane Tonozzi’s maternal grandmother, Olga Castellani, met her husband-to-be Ubaldo Ferretti, for the first time when she arrived at the train station in Ottawa. They owned Feretti’s Grocery in LaSalle.
