As senior citizens, my wife and I spent the past 2 days shredding junk mail that arrives 6 days a week in our mailbox. No, this was not 2 full work days, but it was a lot anyway.
Suggestion to the U.S. Postal Service: instead of raising postage rates, why not raise the rates on the junk mailers? And regulate the size of these mailings; some of them have dozens and dozens of pages.
The frequency of this mail is redundant and annoying, so maybe once a month should be enough. Going to the mailbox should be enjoyable and not dreaded. Why, I even welcome bills anymore, but not junk mail.
