Hannah Hobbs, 17, is Polo Community High School's March Student of the Month. Her mother is Jill Blake, and her siblings are Marah, 14, and Cooper, 12.
Favorite class? Math. I’ve always liked working with numbers.
Least-favorite class? Chemistry. I’ve found it difficult to understand all the different equations.
Favorite teacher? Betsy Scott, language arts. She always is willing to help out.
School activities in which you participate? Basketball and Spanish Club.
How would you describe your group of friends? I think that all my friends are nerdy.
What will you do after high school? I’m going to Sauk Valley Community College to pursue a degree in business.
What is something you learned in high school that you think you will never use? A derivative of a graph.

TV show? "The Walking Dead."
Sports team? Chicago Cubs.
What's the one thing in your life you can't do without? I don’t think that I would get very far without my phone.
What is your advice for surviving high school? Always turn your homework in on time.
If you could change one thing about your school, what would it be and why? I wish we had air conditioning.
What scares you? Heights.
If you could go anywhere in the world for free, where would it be? Italy. I think that it is so pretty there.
Who is your hero of role model? My mom. She is really nice and helps me out when she can.
