Immigration lawyer to speak Saturday in Sterling

STERLING – A Chicago attorney who has specialized in immigration issues for 30 years will speak, answer questions and meet with individuals one-on-one at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Parish Center at St. Mary Catholic Church, 600 Ave. B.

Scott D. Pollock, who is fluent and will conduct the presentation primarily in Spanish, will discuss the current immigration laws and how they are being enforced. There also will be an interpreter on hand.

Pollock’s practice includes all areas of immigration law and procedure, including visas, political asylum, deportation defense, waivers of inadmissibility, employment authorization, compliance, appeals and litigation. 

He has earned national recognition for his presentations, publications and practice of immigration law, sponsors David Barajas of La Familia Restaurant & Bakery and Louis Pignatelli of Pignatelli & Associates said in a news release.
