OREGON – Eagle’s Nest Art Group will present its annual Spring Membership Art Show from 1 to 4 p.m. April 29 and 30 and May 6 and 7 at the art gallery on the second floor of Conover Square, 201 N. Third St.
This year’s show is dedicated to the memory of artist Lorraine Straw, who died in 2016. The former Oregon resident’s work in oil, watercolor, and rosemaling will be on display, along with other tributes to her contribution to the group, the Norwegian National League, and Friends of the Viking Ship projects.
A Harry Nurmet painting is being auctioned to help raised money for Hands On Oregon. The floral watercolor is on display at the gallery.
Those interested in submitting a bid can sign the sheet at the studio. The winner will be announced at 4 p.m. May 7.
The Eagle’s Nest Art Group formed in 1957 and has grown to more than 70 members whose work includes painting, drawing, pottery, jewelry, glass work, photography and other art forms.
Admission to the gallery is free.
