ROCK FALLS – Beverly Jean Robbins passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, surrounded by everyone who loved her.
Beverly was born March 26, 1931, to Edward and Ruby (Sanders) Jones. She grew up in Rock Falls, and even met the love of her life, James” Jay” Robbins, when she was 16 years old. She married him on Feb. 12, 1948, and he left her side on March 19, 2002.
Beverly left behind many people who loved her, including her siblings, Francis (William) Jomant of Rock Falls, George "Red" (Sharon Temple) Jones of Aurora, Colorado, and Robert (Maggie) Jones of Rock Falls; a very special aunt, Marcella Culver; her children, James (Lois) Robbins of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Carolynn Keel and Linda Underwood, both of Rock Falls; her grandchildren, Jeannie (Lance) King, Joshua (Stephanie) Robbins, Kengela Robbins, Brandon (Angela Garcia) Robbins, Joseph (Amy) Robbins, Joslynn (David) Kailey, Teddy Robbins, James Robbins, Adam (Shelly Elgin) Robbins, Jacob Underwood, Tabatha (Paul) Krock, and Jonas Robbins; stepgranddaughter, Nikiea (Michael) Strecker; her great-grandchildren, Tyler Doane, Kyley Robbins, Lyden King, Lydea King, Addison Robbins, Emma Robbins, Keyra Robbins, Caleb Paxton, Urijah Robbins, Diana Robbins, Noah Robbins, Ava Robbins, Jayden Kailey, Teddy Robbins Jr., Alexis Robbins, Quincy Robbins, James Robbins Jr., Tyler Robbins, Alex Robbins, Bailey Bramm, Lillianna Melton, and Amara Krock; step-great-grandchildren, Grant and Gracie Strecker; and her great-great-grandchildren, Makenzie Doane and Owen Doane. Beverly also left several nieces and nephews to carry on her memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one child in infancy; and one son, Douglas Robbins.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her honor.
