Extra, extra, read all about them!

Extra, extra, read all about them!

If the paper feels a little heavier Monday, that’s because there are 56 extra pages stuffed inside, chock full of stories about the people behind the scenes who give their time to making their communities a better place to live and work – the “Hometown Headliners.”

Some are your friends. Some are your neighbors. Some, you might not even know – but we hope you take the time to read their stories and get to know them, because they’re all headliners in our book. They give countless hours to their hometowns, but don’t always get the accolades they deserve.

So grab a cup of coffee and a donut – or dozen; it’s a 56-page special section, after all – and spend some time with the folks behind the scenes who play a starring role in Sauk Valley’s success.

Early deadline

Monday's section is the first of three “Hometown Headliners” – the other two will be published March 27 and 30 – and in order to accommodate printing and inserting it, we had to put the paper to bed early so you could wake up to it Monday. That means you won’t find late lottery numbers and some late sports results in Monday's paper.
