Thanks to all who supported Payne benefit

It is with a larger than life heartfelt “thank you” to all the individuals and businesses that helped to make the Traci Holbrook Payne benefit a huge success. The turnout was fabulous, and the donations were numerous.

A special thank you to Smoked On 3rd BBQ & Catering for hosting this event. Michelle, John, Denise and their staff did an amazing job of accommodating our needs and requests. The breakfast and lunch meals were delicious.

Thank you to JJM for creating the fabulous logo T-shirts on short notice. Big shout out and thank you to HALO Industries for the donation of koozies. Thank you to Self Help Enterprises for printing the 50-50 tickets. Thank you to WSDR for advertising, to Sauk Valley Media for the article on Traci, to Plainwell Brass and Shell Gas Station for marquee advertising, and to Newman staff, softball girls and wrestling team for all their help.

Traci was able to attend the benefit, and she was overwhelmed with the outpouring of generosity from her family, friends, parishes, classmates, local businesses, and those sending donations from near and far.

She was overcome with emotion as soon as she entered with tears rolling down her face. Throughout the day, she was showered with hugs, kisses, well wishes, prayers, laughter and words of encouragement.

Traci and husband, Dean, daughters, Bailie and Molli, parents, Nancy and Darrell Holbrook, brother, Scott and fiancé, Susie would like to thank everyone for their time, effort, donations, cards, phone calls, and prayers. They appreciate all of you, and your kindness means the world to them.

On behalf of Traci’s Mat Maid Pink Brigade, we extend our deepest appreciation for coming together and helping us show our beloved friend that we are fighting for her. Keep those prayers coming. We love Traci!

Note to readers: Traci’s Mat Maid Pink Brigade members are Stephanie Johnson, Tracee Roberts, Michelle McCue, Anne Gould, Rae Higley, Lyn Eberhardt, Ruth Hardman, Stacie Grennan, Carleen Conklen and Penny Slusser Nuttall.
