Phyllis A. Boyd

STERLING – Phyllis A. Boyd, 82, of Sterling, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Regency Care in Sterling.

Phyllis was born Sept. 21, 1934, in Bluefield, West Virginia, the daughter of Robert Edmund and Maxine (Smith) Croy. She married Thomas Boyd on Jan. 4, 1949, in Pikesville, Kentucky. He died April 26, 1973.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Humphrey of Terre Haute, Indiana; sons, Thomas Boyd of the Philippines, Tim (Marty) Boyd, and Mark Boyd; a sister, Teresa Mikoychik; brothers, Ron Croy of Sterling, Bob Croy of Aurora, Charles Croy and Jim Eckel, both of Virginia, and Steve Croy of Florida; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael; a sister, Betty Eden; a brother, Bill Croy; and a grandchild.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, and a time of sharing at 6 p.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Cremation rites have been accorded.
