Betty J. Riley

MORRISON – Betty J. Riley, 82, of Morrison, died Monday, April 18, 2016, at her home.

Betty was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Morrison, the daughter of William and Ida (Smith) Birley. She married Ray Riley on July 17, 1954, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 2012. She was a homemaker. Betty was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include five godchildren, Betty Kracht of Low Moor, Iowa, Jackie (Randy) Gerlach of Morrison, Joseph Jackson of Clinton, Iowa, Lynn Wright of Indianapolis, and Anna Kracht of Low Moor; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Virginia Allen and Nancy Ann Birley; and six brothers, William, John, David, James, Robert, and Gordon Birley.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald Funeral Home, 1601 16th Ave. Fulton. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Myles Kukowski, pastor of Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls, officiating. Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
