ASHTON – If you were watching “American Idol” on Thursday, you probably noticed that Tristan Bushman’s audition wasn’t shown.
The Ashton singer-songwriter auditioned in October in San Francisco, which was the setting of Thursday night’s show.
So, are you thinking he didn’t make it? Think again.
The 18-year-old said he made it through to the next round in Hollywood and it feels “pretty great” to be able to let people know.
Because his audition didn’t air Thursday, he wasn’t initially sure he could announce it, he told this reporter Thursday. But he eventually got the OK.
Not every successful audition makes it on the show, but that doesn’t mean Bushman’s won’t make it on air.
The singer posted a message on his Tristan Bushman Music page on Facebook explaining the show will return to San Francisco with more auditions on the Jan. 20 and 21 episodes.
Next week, the Jan. 13 episode will focus on auditions in Philadelphia, and Jan. 14 on Denver and Little Rock, Arkansas.
So, stay tuned, local music fans.
Bushman’s dream of being the next “American Idol” is moving on to the next round.
