8 movies I've never seen, but would watch based on title and cover art

Netflix has a huge library of some of my favorite movies, but it also has many that I’ve never seen or heard of. In the spirit of adventure, here are eight movies that I have not viewed, but would watch solely based on the title and cover art:

1. “Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon” (2013). It looks like a foreign martial arts movie with what looks like a flock of birds or bats in a dark sky. A character is holding a sword. But he’s a cop? Click here for cover. http://i.imgur.com/BJmSpVQ.jpg

2. “Prisoners of the Sun” (2013). Giant mummy face across the top and a mummified – perhaps cyborg – army with blue eyes. Flaming meteors. Click here for cover. http://i.imgur.com/OS9xBfW.jpg

3. “Deadly Code” (2013). A tattooed John Malkovich with a concerned face. What’s he thinking about? Why does he have so many tattoos? And where’s his shirt? Click here for cover. http://i.imgur.com/IQ55CmX.jpg

4. “Gallowwalkers” (2013). Wesley Snipes got pigeonholed into vampire roles, but he’s got a gun this time. A gallow traditionally was used in hanging executions, so I’m not sure what he’s hunting. Click here for cover. http://i.imgur.com/N0HD8aV.jpg

5. “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” (1964). Finally. A movie that makes sense. Click here for cover. http://i.imgur.com/xAWWTlI.jpg

6. “Abelar: Tales of an Ancient Empire” (2010). Kevin Sorbo! (From the '90s “Hercules” series). They didn’t photoshop the wrinkles from his face, though. It must be a weak movie. Click here for cover. http://i.imgur.com/PmWYGmt.jpg

7. “Iron Sky: Director’s Cut” (2013). I’m pretty sure there’s going to be Nazis in this. In space? That’s all I need to know. Click here for cover. http://i.imgur.com/PgDaybS.jpg

8. “Freelancers” (2012). 50 Cent, Robert De Niro and Forest Whitaker. Appears to be a thriller. I’d watch it. Click here for cover. http://i.imgur.com/TydVJIy.jpg
