Ruth Ann Heiden

DIXON – Ruth Ann Heiden, 77, of Dixon, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Ruth was born Nov. 6, 1936, the daughter of Edgar and Edith (Maxwell) Boudreau. She married Norman E. Heiden on May 10, 1958, in DeKalb.

Ruth was a graduate of DeKalb High School Class of 1955. She was a beautician for several years and owner of Majestic Beauty Salon in DeKalb. She later worked in food services at Northern Illinois University. She was a former member of Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her husband, Norm; daughter, Luann (David) Cullison of Sycamore; son, Norman Heiden of Dixon; grandson, Jordan (Hannah) Grubbs; two great-grandchildren, Kaylin and Lucas; stepson, Daniel (Susan) Hollis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry L. Heiden; her brother; and her parents.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday and the memorial service at 4 p.m. Thursday at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb, with the Rev. Bob Clardie of Lost Lake Community Church officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at Fairview Park Cemetery in DeKalb. Cremation rites will be accorded by Anderson Funeral Home Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ruth Ann Heiden Memorial Fund, sent to the Heiden family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 605, 2011 S. Fourth St,, DeKalb, IL 60115.
