DIXON – The Illinois Department of Transportation will have statewide public meetings, including one in Dixon, to gather input for its fiscal year 2016-2021 multi-year plan.

The MYP is a multimodal program for statewide transportation investment that is based on current estimates of local, state and federal funding.

The local meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 22 in the IDOT District 2 Office, 819 Depot Ave. Anyone with special access needs is asked to call 815-284-2271 before Sept. 17.

IDOT staff will be on hand to answer questions related to the MYP, as well as other IDOT planning and project development processes.

The public also can comment in writing on those topics. Written comments will be accepted at the meeting, at the IDOT district office, or in an email to DOT.OPPMYPOutreach@illinois.gov through Nov. 14.
