MORRISON – Ivan Joe Kaufman, 77, of Morrison, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at his home.

Joe was born Nov. 14, 1936, in Tiskilwa, the son of Preston M. and Florence E. (Cook) Kaufman. He married Marsha A. Paschal on Feb. 28, 1964, in Morrison. Joe served in the Army. He most recently owned and operated Kaufman Brothers in Morrison until retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha; three daughters, Karen (Alex) Magana and Susan (Philip) Joines, both of Morrison, and Kelli (Dragan) Petrovic of Cottontown, Tennessee; two sons, Mike Kaufman of Morrison and Jeff (Laura) Kaufman of Carmel, Indiana; eight grandchildren; one sister, Bessie Livsey of Jerseyville; and one brother, Wayne (Fern) Kaufman of Mesa, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; one sister, Eloise Kingery; and seven brothers, Elmer Kaufman, Lyle Kaufman, Howard Glen Kaufman, Frank Kaufman, Donald Kaufman, Clyde Kaufman, and Marvin Kaufman.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Robert P. Livsey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.
