Obituaries

Sharon K. Deter

MORRISON – Sharon Kay Deter, 54, of Morrison, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at her home. She worked at Morrison Community Hospital for more than 10 years.

Sharon was born Sept. 13, 1959, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Carroll and Jacqueline (Reynolds) Rasmussen. She served in the Army. She married Russell D. Deter on Aug. 30, 1991, in Sterling. She was a member of Brethren In Christ Church in Morrison.

Survivors include her husband, and three sons, Kendall, Bobby, and Adam Deter, all of Morrison; six sisters, Sheryl Tingley of Clinton, Iowa, Shirley (Robert) Payne of Sterling, Utah, Sandra Shamp of Clinton, Iowa, Sharla Albrethsen of Salt Lake City, Suzan (Paul) Adams of Farmington, Utah, and Sharleen (Joel) Wallace of Iowa City, Iowa; two brothers, Gary (Sue) Rasmussen of West Jordan, Utah, and Bruce Rasmussen of Colorado Springs; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison with Craig Sipes, pastor of Brethren In Christ Church in Morrison, officiating. Interment will be at Morrison Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorials have been established.
