Lynnette Trejo of Rock Falls said there were split trees on both sides of her backyard after Monday's storm. The fallen trees took out a fence, trampoline, and "a lot of power lines," Trejo said. "Started sparking everywhere," she wrote on Facebook.

At East Second Street and 16th Avenue in Sterling, Kortney Jonaway said she "watched this power line just about fall on top of a mail worker. They backed out just in the nick of time!"
