DIXON – William J. “Wild Bill” “Perkins” Koehler, 69, of Dixon, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at his home.

He was born in Sept. 26, 1944, in Spring Valley, the son of Adam and Ellen (Jensen) Koehler Sr. He had worked at Purity Mills, Boyd Casket Co., Raynor Garage Door Manufacturing Co., and Roux Tree Trimming Service all in Dixon. He had also performed many odd jobs. William married Catherine Turner on Nov. 1, 1980, in Dixon.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Kimberly (Jason) Kettley, and a son, Michael (Rebecca) Koehler, all of Dixon; four grandchildren, Katie, Bryan, and Nathaniel Kettley, and Kaylie Koehler; two sisters, Pat (Walley) Duncan of Henry, and Beatrice (Ralph) Newell of Olin, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Adam Koehler Jr. and Larry Koehler; and one sister, Francy Hash.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in Dixon, with the Rev. Michael Cole officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.

A memorial has been established.
