Police seek suspect in Davis Junction bank robbery

DAVIS JUNCTION – The Ogle County Sheriff’s Department is looking for the suspect in a Saturday bank robbery.

Deputies responded to the Byron Bank in Davis Junction around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release.

According to the release:

The suspect, a white male, entered the bank and handed a teller a note, and a weapon was implied. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled eastbound on state Route 72 in a small, silver vehicle.

The Illinois State Police and FBI are assisting with the investigation, according to the release.
