Neil A. Partridge

STERLING – Neil A. Partridge, 83, of Rock Falls, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Neil was born on March 12, 1931, in Sterling, the son of John L. and Gertrude (Eberly) Partridge Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Neil married Gyneth Frank on Sept. 28, 1953, in Yorktown. He worked for Lawrence Brothers as a tool and die maker for 47 years before retiring in 1996. After retirement, Neil worked at Wheelock Furniture in Rock Falls delivering furniture. Neil enjoyed fishing and loved to play cards.

Survivors include his wife, Gyneth; one daughter, Kala (Roger) Maxwell of Sterling; one son, Alan (Kris) Partridge of Rock Falls; two sisters, Jean and Joan Partridge of Sterling; five grandchildren, Stephanie Maxwell of Franklin, Wisconsin, Ben (Shauna) Partridge of Sterling, Katie Maxwell (Cody Rhodes) of Richfield, Minnesota, Kelsey Partridge (Kiley DeVries) of Rock Falls, and Emmalie Maxwell of Richfield, Minnesota; and five great-grandchildren, Michelle, Micah, Kamryn, Kaysen and Kylen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lois and Lita; and four brothers, Jack, Glen, Lyle and Alan.

Cremation rites have been accorded with the McDonald Funeral Home & Crematory in Rock Falls. Private services will be held at a later date.
