Kozeal guides Amboy

Griffin Kozeal continued his strong start to the golf season, as he shot a 42 on Thursday to earn medalist honors for Amboy in a 178-204 win over Somonauk at the par-36 Shady Oaks course.

Jake Lucas and Logan Thake each carded 45s, and Tracer Mills turned in a 46 to round out the scoring for the Clippers.

Rockford Christian 176, Rock Falls 164: Cooper Kilberg carded a 41 to lead the Rockets in a road loss.

West Carroll 181, Polo 190: Cameron Ehlers led West Carroll, and earned medalist honors with a 41 at Edgewood Golf Course in Polo.

Sean Keckler (43), Anthony Mendoz (47), and Hayley Guilinger (50) factored into the scoring for the Thunder.

Polo was paced by Tristin Woodin’s 42, while Christopher Radamacher (47), Matthew Handel (50), and Mack Llanas (51) rounded out the scoring for the Marcos.
