Rockets 2nd at Cambridge

The Rock Falls girls golf team placed second with a 265 total among three teams Wednesday at Valley View Club in Cambridge.

Rockridge won with a 236 behind medalist Jillian Stone's 47, while Orion was third with 270.

Liz Lego led the Rock Falls for the second consecutive meet when she carded a 51. Nicole Arduini (69), Makenzie Fauble (72) and Nicole Tupper (73) rounded out the scoring for the Rockets.

Boys golf

Amboy 184, Indian Creek 189:
Griffin Kozeal (41) and Tracer Mills (42) had rounds in the 40s to lead the Clippers to a 5-stroke win at Shady Oaks.

Logan Thake carded a 50 while Jake Lucas turned in a 51 to cap the scoring for Amboy. Indian Creek's Drew Headley earned medalist honors with a 40.

West Carroll 193, Eastland 201: Cameron Ehlers earned medalist honors with a 6-over-par 42 as the Thunder topped the Cougars at Lake Carroll.

Sean Keckler and Anthony Mendoza added 46s for West Carroll.

Shay Goellner was low for Eastland with a 44.
