Workshops start today for federal contracts

SAVANNA – Tri-County Economic Development Alliance will sponsor workshops for businesses to become certified for government contracts, including the Thomson prison, starting today at Manny’s Pizza, 211 Main St.

Sessions will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vicky Miller, director of the Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center at Black Hawk College, will be the presenter. Other dates are Aug. 28 and Sept. 4. Each session costs $15, which includes a networking lunch.

Visit tceda-nwil.org to register with Paypal. Participants also can pay today at the first workshop. Businesses within the Morrison 61270 zip code will be reimbursed the $5 fees after attending all three workshops.
