Fundraiser set for volunteer fire departments

PROPHETSTOWN – Rockin’ On the Rock, a benefit concert for area volunteer fire departments and emergency medical staff, will be from 1 to 11 p.m. Aug. 30 at Prophetstown State Park on Riverside Drive.

All donations will go to local departments. Six local bands will perform, including Alborn Theory, Harry Bailey’s Transport, Reflex Blues and Yesterdaze Gone. There will be food and children’s activities.

Registration for a bags tournament will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m., with a $20 fee per two-person team. Entry is limited to the first 60 teams.
