Fundraiser at Sterling Moose

STERLING – An open house will take place Aug. 30 at the Sterling Moose Lodge, 2601 E. Lincolnway.

A percentage of proceeds will go to Mooseheart Child City and School, a facility west of Chicago for children and teens in need.

From noon to 4 p.m., a drive-through outside grill will be available, with a pork chop sandwich, chips, sweet corn, a soft drink and a cookie for $6. At 3 p.m., a tour will be provided, as will a DVD presentation on Moose membership.

At 5 p.m., a pork chop dinner will be sold for $8 per person. It will include a chop, potato, choice of sweet corn or beans, a salad bar, and dessert. An awards program will take place at 7 p.m., with speakers at 7:30 and a ceremony and endowment for Mooseheart at 9. A band will perform until the center closes.
