LAKELAND, Fla. – Dora Jean Ebersole Quimby, 61, of Lakeland, formerly of Dixon, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at her home. She had been employed as a paralegal at Guard Law Group, PLLC, in Florida.

She was born Dec. 15, 1952, in Dixon, the daughter of Merle E. and Alice J. (Witmer) Ebersole.

Survivors include a daughter, Tricia Ann (Edward) Hendley of Dixon; a son, James Robert Ebens III of Lakeland, Florida; her parents of Dixon; two grandchildren; a stepgranddaughter; a brother, Samuel Elwood (Paula) Ebersole of Mount Morris; a sister, Debra Sue (Jeff) Hockensmith of Williams, Arizona; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Emily Ebersole, and a brother, Melvin Eugene Ebersole.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sauk Valley Community Church on state Route 2 in Dixon, with Andy Minch officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. Cremation rites have been accorded. Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon is handling arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the family, with donations accepted at Community State Bank in Dixon, care of Tricia Hendley.
