Gary Dale Harvey

MORRISON – Gary Dale Harvey, 48, of Morrison, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora.

Gary was born Jan. 7, 1966, in Rock Island, to Dale L. and Betty A. (Seyller) Harvey. He graduated from Morrison High School.  

Gary worked at Exelon as a security guard. He also worked at Walmart in Sterling. He drove a bus for Winning Wheels, and also drove for the railroad. Gary was active in 4-H in his younger years, and was a member of Future Farmers of America, now FFA. He enjoyed raising farm animals, especially rabbits. Gary enjoyed watching sports, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He liked to play golf, bowl, and play darts.

Survivors include a sister, Bonnie Harvey of Nashville, Tennessee; an uncle, James (Rita) Seyller of Tampico; an aunt, Darlene (Don) Foster of Morrison; a niece, Lani Robb; and two nephews, Jordan Harvey and Jamie Robb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Betty Harvey; and his grandparents.

The funeral service will be at noon Tuesday in the Morrison Chapel at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ryan Sutton, pastor at Morrison United Methodist Church, officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

A memorial fund has been established.
