Fair finale in Whiteside

MORRISON – The 144th Whiteside County Fair wraps up this weekend at the fairgrounds, 201 W. Winfield St. Harness racing at 1:30 p.m. and a tractor and truck pull at 6:30 p.m. are among today's highlights. The fair concludes Saturday with a demolition derby at 6:30 p.m. The carnival opens at 1 p.m. today and noon Saturday.Go to whitesidecountyfair.org for a full schedule.

Tie-dye one on in Dixon

DIXON – The sixth annual Gardenstock Art and Music Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at Distinctive Gardens, 2020 Lowell Park Road. The all-day event features musicians, artists, a tie-dye contest, a raffle and a 50-50 drawing. Attendees can bring coolers, blankets, lawn chairs and small, close-to-the-ground tables. Gates open at 10 a.m. Admission is a minimum $5 donation for those 13 and older, $1 for children 12 and younger.

Pink pride on the ride

ROCK FALLS – Team Underwires will present its seventh annual Proud to Wear Pink ride Saturday, beginning at Workman's Harley-Davidson, 1903 First Ave. The ride of about 100 miles will end at Days Inn, 2105 First Ave. There will be live entertainment, live and silent auctions, a raffle and dinner. Participants are encouraged to wear pink. Registration is from 10 a.m. to noon and costs $20 for adults, and $5 for those 15 and younger. Motorcycles and other vehicles are welcome.

Blues and Bluegrass in the Grove

FRANKLIN GROVE – It's the third Friday of the month, so it's Blues and Bluegrass night today at the H.I. Lincoln Building, 136 N. Elm St. Open stage acoustic, gospel, folk, country, blues and bluegrass will be performed, starting at 7 p.m. Admission is free; donations will be accepted to help with the upkeep of the historic building.

Beamanfest in Dixon

DIXON – The annual music festival Beamanfest will kick off at 6 p.m. today and 11 a.m. Saturday at 734 Bloody Gulch Road. The festival will feature more than 10 bands, and participants can camp at the festival. Friday tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the gate, while Saturday's tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate. Weekend passes are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate.
