STERLING – Three people younger than 18 are being questioned by Sterling Police after St. Mary's School was burglarized over the weekend. As of Monday evening, no arrests had been made.

According to a news release, a faculty member was organizing a classroom Sunday evening when someone walked in, saw the room was occupied, ran out and took off on a bicycle.

When police arrived, they found a ground-floor window air-conditioning unit pushed out of a window, which is how the person got inside. Some items of food were taken and others tampered with, the release said.

According to school security footage, three people broke in, in total. A tip from a caller also identified them, police said, and arrests are pending.
