STERLING – Area teachers can apply for a portion of $1 million from U.S. Cellular’s Calling All Teachers Program for classroom projects.

U.S. Cellular works with DonorsChoose.org for the fourth year to register teachers for the program. Instructors can post their projects at DonorsChoose.org for potential funding. The charity website helps teachers identify funds from corporate and individual donations for classroom projects.

Submissions will be accepted until Sept. 21. Last year, Centennial Elementary School in Polo received $25,000 through U.S. Cellular’s Calling All Communities Program. The projects selected will be in announced in October.
