Rockford hospital earns care award

ROCKFORD – SwedishAmerican Hospital recently received an award from the American College of Cardiology.

The National Cardiovascular Data Registry ACTION Registry – Get with the Guidelines Silver Performance Achievement Award recognizes commitment and success in implementing a higher standard for care for heart attack. It also signifies that the hospital has reached the goal of treating patients to standard levels of care outlined by the American College of Cardiology-American Heart Association.

SwedishAmerican is one of only 139 hospitals nationwide to receive the award. The hospital has clinics in Byron, Davis Junction, and Rochelle.
