ROCK ISLAND (AP) – A 4-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle in Rock Island last week and later died has been identified.

The Rock Island Argus reports that Maddilyn "Maddi" Boultinghouse of Rock Island died Sunday. The Peoria County Coroner identified her on Tuesday.

Rock Island Police say the girl and her mother were on the corner of 11th Street and 31st Avenue last Wednesday when they stepped into traffic and were struck by a sports utility vehicle. Police say that no traffic charges or criminal charges will be filed against the driver.

There were no details about the mother's injuries.
