War artifacts on display at museum

ROCHELLE – The Roberts Armory World War II Museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 16, as part of the Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival.

Artifacts specializing in the history of the 70th Tank Battalion and 10th Mountain Division will be on display. A Higgins boat landing craft can be viewed, weather permitting.

To get to the museum, go to the intersection of state Route 251 and Intermodal Drive, where an Army truck will be visible. Signs will guide visitors along a 3-mile route. Visit robertsarmory.com for more information.
