Two die, one injured in motorcycle head-on crash

OREGON – Two men died and a woman was seriously injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles Sunday morning east of Mount Morris.

The crash happened about 11 a.m. in the 3000 block of state Route 64, just east of Ridge Road, the Ogle County Sheriff’s office said in a news release.

The investigation revealed that an eastbound motorcycle driven by a man collided with a westbound motorcycle driven by a man with a female passenger.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was flown by Life Flight to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, where she was treated for serious injuries, according to the release.

The sheriff's office will release more details later, as the investigation is ongoing, according to the release.
