DIXON – Mary Lucille Joyce, 89, of Dixon died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Franklin Grove Health Care Center. 

She was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Dixon, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Coakley) Burke. She was employed as an inventory control clerk at Raynor Garage Door Manufacturing for 24 years before retiring in 1993. After her retirement from Raynor, Mary Lou shared her companionship with many friends, some of whom were younger than her.  

She was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon and the Dixon Catholic Women’s Club.

Mary Lou was a faithful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen (Bruce) Keller and Tish (Ron) Emmole, both of Dixon, and Mary Eileen (Michael) Rostkowski of Brookfield, Wisconsin; two sons, Kevin Joyce of Bloomington, and Tim Joyce of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Maureen and Monica; and three brothers, James, George “ Bud,” and John “Jack” Burke.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon.  

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon, with the Rev. Bernard Sehr officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. 

A memorial has been established. Arrangements are Jones Funeral Home in Dixon.
