State Route 2 construction to begin Tuesday

STERLING – A westbound lane of traffic on state Route 2 east of Sterling will be closed for work scheduled to begin Tuesday.

G.M. Sipes Construction will remove and replace a section of concrete pavement in the westbound right lane of state Route 2 near 45th Avenue. The $78,645 project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the week.

Drivers should be alert for the westbound lane closure and for slow moving vehicles in the area.
