‘Les Misérables’ opens tonight on TLP stage

The cast of "Les Misérables" rehearses at Timber Lake Playhouse in Mount Carroll. The show opens at 7:30 tonight and runs through Aug. 10 at TLP, 8215 Black Oak Road.

MOUNT CARROLL – “Les Misérables” will open at 7:30 p.m. today and run through Aug. 10 at Timber Lake Playhouse, 8215 Black Oak Road.

The story of “Les Misérables” spans 2 decades and is one of passion, dreams and redemption set against the backdrop of a nation in the throes of rebellion.

All evening performances will be at 7:30. There will be 2 p.m. matinees on both Sundays and Wednesday. There also is a matinee at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets are $17 to $23 and can be purchased from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the box office, www.timberlakeplayhouse.org, or by calling 815-244-2035.

TLP is partnering with The Table, a group that serves hot meals in Carroll County at no charge Monday through Friday, and will be accepting non-perishable food items and cash donations to cover the organization’s needs for meat. The Table has a specific need for cereal, rice, dry beans, peas, soda crackers, egg and elbow pasta, canned fruit, pancake mix, and pork and beans.

All non-perishable donations can be dropped off during box office hours or before any performance.
