CHADWICK – Doris J.  Bryant, 79, of Chadwick, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at her home.

Doris was born on June 2, 1935, in Sterling, the daughter of Herbert Leslie and Marguarite Frances (Turner) Saunders. She married Thomas H. Bryant on Jan. 5, 1957, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling. Doris was a member of Sts. John and Catherine Catholic Church in Mount Carroll.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jeanette (Jeff) Baughman of Campbellsport, Wisconsin, and Jennifer (Todd) Brubaker of Milledgeville; two sons, Thomas J. (Melissa) Bryant of Mount Carroll, and Ted (Becky) Bryant of Chadwick; one daughter-in-law, Julie Bryant-Foster; two sisters, Nancy (Paul) Pechous of Dubuque, Iowa, and Pat (Joe) Lendman of Dixon; two brothers, Bill (Fern) Saunders of Sterling, and Curt Saunders of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Todd and Bruce Bryant; two sisters; and three brothers. 

Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling, with the Rev. Dennis Atto officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling. McDonald Funeral Homes is handling arrangements.
