OHIO – Catherine “Kay”  Anderson, 88, formerly of Ohio, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at Colonial Hall Care Center in Princeton. 

Kay was born June 1, 1926, in Atkinson, the daughter of Fred and Maude (Booth) Clark. She was united in marriage to William  L. Anderson on July 2, 1944, in Ohio. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2013. She worked at the Ohio Grain Co. for more than 30 years. Kay was a lifelong member of Ohio United Methodist Church, where she was very active in the UMW. Recently, she was a member of Red Oak United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Blue and White Pottery Club and the Sleepy Eye Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Karen (Dave) Kuebel of Ohio; one son, William J. Anderson of Naperville; one grandson, Lance (Kerry) Harris of Arlington Heights; one granddaughter, Jody (Eric) Cooper of Lincoln; five great-grandchildren, Morgan, Brett and Tyler Harris, and Makenzie and Jacey Cooper; one sister, Helen Clark of Sublette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Janet Joy; and one brother, Robert Clark.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut, with the Rev. Judy Giese, pastor of Red Oak United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Ohio.

Memorials have been established to the Ohio Fire Department, Red Oak United Methodist Church, and Union Cemetery.
