Aileen Personette

MOUNT MORRIS – Aileen Personette, 90, of Mount Morris, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home in Mount Morris.

Aileen was born May 17, 1924, in Polo, the daughter of Ross and Ina May (Hurdle) Hostetter. Aileen graduated from Polo Community High School and from North Central College in Naperville. Aileen married Donald G. Personette on June 22, 1946, in Polo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2006. She worked for Citizens State Bank, starting as a teller and working her way up to loan officer, before retiring in 1987. She was a member of Mount Morris Church of the Brethren, the senior citizen center, Sunset Golf Club in Mount Morris, and a 50-year member of PEO. 

Aileen’s survivors include her son, Michael (Lori) Personette of Byron; three grandsons, Stephen (Ann) Personette of Normal, and Matthew and Marc Personette, both of Byron; and two great-granddaughters, Kylie and Kearsten Personette, both of Normal.

Aileen also was preceded in death by her parents and son, Stephen.

Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Aug. 16 and the memorial service at 11 a.m. Aug. 16 at Fairmount Cemetery in Polo, with the Rev. Ginny Haney officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Mount Morris Church of the Brethren and Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home.

Finch Funeral Home in Mount Morris is handling arrangements.
