STERLING – Joshua Lee Burmeister, 31, of Sterling, died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford. He had been employed at Eyelet Products in Dixon.

Josh was born Jan. 1, 1983, in Dixon, the son of Mike and Diana (Crouse) Burmeister. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sterling.

Survivors include his father of Sterling; his stepmom, Kim of Sterling; one son, Keydon Burmeister; one daughter, Serenity Burmeister; one sister, Nicole Burmeister of Dixon; three brothers, Terry Burmeister Jr. of Sacramento, California, Jeramie Burmeister of Sterling, and Dusty Burmeister of Dixon; one stepsister, Andilyn Huffstatler of Sterling; and three stepbrothers, Jeff Brown, Dustin Fritsch, and Christopher Fritsch, all of Sterling.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday and the funeral at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sterling.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
