Emma Hubbs Classic: Bratts take 18-U mixed doubles bracket

Sam Bratt and Alane Bratt won a tightly contested 18-under mixed doubles division to wrap up play on the first day of the 24th Emma Hubbs Classic on Monday in Dixon.

The pair of Bratts edged Keenan Longan and Anne Vits by one game. The Bratts had 31, while Longan and Vits had 30. KC Knack, who won the 15-under boys singles bracket, and Erin Vits were third with 26 games.

Michael Gale and Aleasha Penn won the tiebreaker with Connor Knack and Chantel Ordean for fourth place at 25 games.

KC Knack won the 15-U boys bracket by three games over Jonathan Rivers 23-20. Daniel Ferguson was third with 18.

In the 13-U girls doubles bracket, Avery Meyer and Amber Long won by seven games with a total of 29. Katelyn Grell and Abby Aiken was second at 22 games.

Grace Ferguson had 74 points in the 6-8 year-old bracket to edge Arianna Tate by a point. Justin Kanzler was third with 72.

The day started with Noah Considine winning the Tiny Tots tournament with 40 points. Owen LeSage was third with 39, and Myah Morton had 38.
