‘Phantom’ was unforgettable; so was bus trip

Oh, wow! Truly awesome, fantastic and mesmerizing. Never would I have thought that the producers could improve on this musical, “The Phantom of the Opera.”

With its 25th anniversary, the costumes were more extravagant and colorful, the sets and the pyrotechnic effects more dramatic, the dance routines more elaborate, etc. Even if you have seen it three times, it is still so very wonderful. Needless to say, the music is romantic and timeless, the voices truly amazing.

I sincerely urge everyone to bring your children and see it at the Marcus Center. While in Milwaukee, see the St. Josaphat Basilica (and be lucky enough to hear someone play the organ), have a picnic at the Veterans Park, walk along the lakefront, and go to the Milwaukee Art Museum. This is what our bus load of 58 did on a beautiful and perfect summer day.

I thank everyone who helped me with this unforgettable trip: Deb Moss, Will of Subway, Linda Setchell, and all those in attendance.
