Numbers show influence of the wealthy

If “the real job creators are the wealthy,” per Mr. Valentino's letter [June 26], then how does one explain high unemployment numbers?

I recall former President Ronald Reagan's trickle-down economics plan. Tax breaks were given to the wealthy so their money would stimulate and grow the economy.

Was this money put back into the economy or held onto so as to further increase wealth?

In a capitalistic society (America), one must understand how the system works and how the rules (laws) are set up. Exploitation requires knowledge and deep pockets. Money seduces and has influence. Need I say more?
